Two Senior Investment Professionals Join FIG
ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–FIG
Partners, one of the nation’s premier investment banking and
research firms specializing in community banks, today announced the
appointment of two senior investment professionals, market maker Jeff
McMurray and equity research analyst Jake Civiello.
Mr. McMurray, who was named Equity Trader and is based in Philadelphia,
will serve as a market maker in 500 community and regional bank and
thrift stocks. Mr. Civiello, who was named Research Analyst and is based
in Portland, Maine, will join FIG’s equity research team, which covers
more than 125 community banks across the U.S.
The appointments follow FIG’s acquisition by Janney Montgomery Scott,
which closed on April 30, and furthers Janney’s strategic objective to
support and expand the FIG team.

Before FIG, Mr. McMurray worked for Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. and a
predecessor firm for 19 years. At Boenning & Scattergood, he was a
market maker in more than 265 NASDAQ and OTC bank and thrift stocks. Mr.
McMurray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies from
Stockton University in New Jersey. He has series 7, 55, and 63
securities licenses.
Prior to FIG, Mr. Civiello worked for RBC Capital Markets for 14 years.
At RBC, he was lead analyst and covered commercial banks and thrifts on
the East Coast. Earlier in his career, Mr. Civiello worked for TD
Banknorth Group. He has been recognized as a top stock picker by the Financial
Times and Starmine. Mr. Civiello earned a Bachelor of Science degree
from Colby College in Math and holds series 7, 86, and 87 securities
licenses.
