ROSWELL, Ga.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GS Yuasa Lithium Power (GYLP) was presented with the 2018 Supplier of
the Year Award from The Boeing Company (Boeing) in the category of
Innovation at the 2019 Boeing Global Supplier Conference in Los Angeles,
California.
GYLP and Boeing entered into a Long-Term Agreement in April 2016 for the
supply of a range of space qualified lithium ion battery cells. These
cells can be deployed across Boeing’s Geostationary and Low and Medium
Earth Orbit satellite portfolios in support of both commercial and
government applications.

their satellite platforms in order to offer energy solutions that meet
