Chartwell Investment Partners Expands Value Equity Team with Hiring of Research Analysts Jared Marks, CFA® and Thomas Mattsson, CFA®

BERWYN, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Chartwell Investment Partners has expanded the investment team managing
its Mid Cap Value, Small Cap Value and SMid Value equity strategies with
the hiring of Jared Marks, CFA® and Thomas Mattsson, CFA® as Research
Analysts.

Prior to joining Chartwell Investment Partners, Mr. Marks was an
Investment Manager for North American Equities at Aberdeen Standard
Investments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The
Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Mattsson previously worked as an Associate Director, Equity Analyst
at Cohen & Steers before arriving at Chartwell. He holds a Bachelor of
Arts in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Chartwell’s Small and Mid Cap Value strategies have outperformed more
than 50% of their respective peers for the one-, three-, and five-year
annualized periods ending March 31, 2019, according to eVestment Alliance1.
In addition, the Mid Cap Value strategy ranked in the top 3% of peers
for the three-year annualized period and the top 1% of peers for the
five- and seven-year annualized periods ending March 31, 2019. Total
assets managed by the value equity team were in excess of $2.1 billion
as of March 31, 2019.
