HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–OnBuzz will be attending the 50th annual Festival de Cannes Marché du
Film, the world’s leading global film industry organization. OnBuzz’s
attendance follows the national success and critical acclaim of Friday’s
Child, which featured an internationally-acclaimed cast with Tye
Sheridan (“Ready Player One”), Imogen Poots (“Green Room”), Caleb Landry
Jones (“Get Out”) and Jeffrey Wright (“Westworld”).
The social impact film brings to light the trials and tribulations of
foster youth aging out of care in the United States, telling the
courageous story of a young boy facing the challenges and unexpected
realities of adult life. Following its premiere at SXSW 2018, Friday’s
Child’s positive reception in America paves the way for OnBuzz to expand
its reach to international audiences.
The mission of OnBuzz is to build a platform that allows audiences to be
both entertained by film and also have the opportunity to learn about
and engage in being a part of the solution through activism for
important social issues.
OnBuzz strives to partner with international organizations to develop
more films with strong social messages for international audiences. “We
see the need to spread solutions and change across the world as a
priority in our company,” said Marielle Zuccarelli, President, OnBuzz
Studios. “Our platform is designed to engage audiences and improve our
society globally.”
