MIDLAND, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dow earned the 37th place on the 2019 Top 50 Companies for Diversity
list from DiversityInc,
which was announced yesterday at DiversityInc’s annual celebratory event
in New York City. Dow’s presence on the list for the second consecutive
year showcases its commitment to workplace diversity and reflects the
Company’s understanding of how a diverse workplace improves both
recruitment efforts and profits.

Dow’s move up the list, from 50th place to the 37th spot in 2019,
reflects the Company’s accelerated efforts in recent years to raise the
bar for making inclusion a catalyst for positive change.

To celebrate this notable milestone, Fitterling and Carter participated
in the 2019 DiversityInc event. Carter served as a panelist in a session
focusing on moving women of color into senior leadership role, while
Fitterling engaged in a fireside chat with Carolynn Johnson, COO of
DiversityInc.
Issued annually since 2001, the DiversityInc Top 50 list honors top
companies across the nation for their management of diversity and
inclusion. The list is based on data from a survey of more than 200
questions, which tracks and connects human capital outcomes with best
practices used to promote the advancement of underrepresented workplace
groups such as women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ and
veterans. The rankings factor in a number of elements, including but not
limited to talent development, recruitment, supplier diversity and
