Strategic hire reflects continued investment in derivatives-based
alternative strategies
PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Glenmede Investment Management LP (“GIM”), a privately owned,
independent asset management firm, today announced the appointment of
Stacey Gilbert as a Portfolio Manager on its derivatives team. GIM
continues to invest in its platform, offering strategies designed to
mitigate risk and capture non-traditional sources of return.
In this role, Gilbert joins Sean Heron, CFA, Options and Derivatives
Portfolio Manager, as a co-manager of the firm’s Secured Options and
Global Secured Options strategies. She will partner with Heron to
further develop options-based strategies that seek to harvest liquid
alternative risk premia and will serve as a key point of contact for
clients. Gilbert will be based in Philadelphia and report to Heron.
“The ongoing interest from institutional clients and consultants
reinforces our belief in the value we deliver through continuously
evolving our offerings,” said Heron. “Stacey’s track record as an
established educator and spokesperson for the asset class uniquely
positions her to participate in the ongoing development of our
options-based strategies and expand our engagement with clients,
prospects and industry colleagues.”
Gilbert joins GIM from Susquehanna Financial Group, where she most
recently served as Head of Derivative Strategy. In this role, she led a
team responsible for providing market commentary, actionable ideas and
trading strategies. In her more than two decades at Susquehanna, she
held several leadership positions, including key senior trading roles on
the trading desk and the American Stock Exchange, trading both options
and ETFs. Gilbert also led the company’s Education department. She
earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics, with a minor in economics,
from Dartmouth College.
“We continue to recruit experienced and dynamic investment professionals
who understand our investment perspective and culture. Expanding and
deepening our team is an important aspect of our growth strategy,
especially as we invest in areas of the market that are of key interest
to our clients,” said Peter Zuleba, President of GIM.
GIM helps institutional investors address their investment goals by
offering a broad spectrum of investment management capabilities,
including multi-factor investing, fundamental research-centric investing
and options-based strategies. GIM’s liquid alternative strategies are
designed for institutional investors who seek long-term capital
appreciation consistent with reasonable risk to principal, including
long/short strategies and U.S. and global secured options. These
strategies may also be appropriate for investors wanting to diversify
their aggregate holdings beyond traditional equity and fixed income
investments.
