is pleased to announce that Arya Towfighi joined the firm as a partner
in its Los Angeles office. Mr. Towfighi, a highly accomplished litigator
with 25 years of experience, has practiced both as outside counsel at
large international law firms and as in-house counsel at large public
and private corporations, giving him unique insight into the legal and
business issues confronting companies. Previously a partner at McDermott
Will & Emery, Mr. Towfighi most recently served as head of nationwide
litigation for Univision Communications, a major media company, and
TriNet, a leading professional employer organization.

Mr. Towfighi’s wide ranging commercial and civil litigation experience
includes representing clients in media, entertainment, banking, and
healthcare, in connection with complex business litigation in state and
federal courts and private arbitrations, from inception through trial.
He has extensive experience with disputes involving first amendment
issues and defamation, fraud and misrepresentation, false advertising,
commercial and employment contract matters, discrimination and
harassment, wrongful termination, intellectual property, and data
privacy. He has a proven track record of success, routinely securing
favorable outcomes for clients, as well as extensive experience
counseling clients and conducting internal investigations and training.
Mr. Towfighi received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of
Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor cum laude from Pepperdine
School of Law.
