Last year marked the 11th anniversary of China’s private banking and wealth management industry. It was also a year when China’s financial regulators sought to improve standards in private wealth and asset management via a series of timely and targeted reforms. Those industry participants that responded in a positive manner and remained true to their proposition of guiding high net worth clients towards their goals deserve recognition. Accordingly, Asian Private Banker‘s first annual China Wealth Awards recognises China-headquartered private banks and wealth managers that are committed to meeting the needs of a rapidly growing — and maturing — client segment.
