FreakOut Enables Brand Advertisers To Tap Into One Of The Largest Female Consumer Platforms Through Acquisition Of Spice Lab

FreakOut, the global marketing technology company, part of FreakOut Holdings [TSE:6094], has announced its acquisition of Spice Lab Pte. Ltd., one of the largest female-focused media companies specializing in consumer marketing for the cosmetics and fashion industries in Southeast Asia.

Spice Lab’s online magazine ‘Spice’ targets female readers in Thailand and Vietnam. Brand advertisers now have access to FreakOut’s mobile-first publishing platform that hosts 87% of Next Gen women readers. With 20 million page views per month and over 2.5 million social media followers, the platform works with over 200 brands and agencies.

Through this acquisition, FreakOut will expand its proprietary media solutions and strengthen its consumer marketing offering. FreakOut and Spice Lab will gain a competitive advantage by jointly harnessing subject matter expertise, resources and technology.

Narayan Murthy Ivaturi, COO & Board Director, FreakOut AdTech Business commented:

“We started this journey a few years ago when we first invested in Spice Lab and started supporting them with monetization opportunities. This acquisition takes that effort to the next level. We are very excited to have Spice join us and look forward to collectively solving the content challenges that our clients face in these markets.”

This acquisition is scheduled to complete by Thursday, February 28, 2019.
