Discover Martinique in 2019

There are countless reasons for exploring Martinique, the French Caribbean island at the heart of the West Indian archipelago. The 435 square miles of mountainous terrain, dense tropical forests, crystal-clear rivers and idyllic beaches, not to mention Mount Pelée, lording majestically over the Bay of Saint-Pierre, are just some of them. But Martiniquehas so much more than breathtaking natural beauty.

Whether it’s celebrating Carnival in March, enjoying the summer music festival Baccha, diving or surfing, or enjoying the best rums in the world, Martinique is an island of many facets that delivers to its visitors a singular and unforgettable Creole adventure.

Arriving in Martinique is even easier. Visit by cruise or by air. This winter, Martinique is rolling out the red carpet to North American visitors with more than 28 nonstop flights a week from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York and Montreal, Canada from which Norwegian has just inaugurated its service. Now in its third season in the U.S. Norwegian has increased service for the 2018/2019 season compared to previous years.
