Unifor and CP reach Tentative Agreement

A new tentative collective agreement has been reached between Unifor Local 101R and Canadian Pacific.

“This bargaining committee did not have an easy job and I am proud that they were able to push for gains in a deal that they can now recommend to the membership,” said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President.

Unifor Local 101R represents 1200 workers from British Columbia to Quebec, who service locomotives and freight cars, and produce track and freight car/locomotive components.

No details of the tentative agreement will be released publicly until the agreement is presented to members in a series of ratification meetings across the country.

Unifor is Canada’s largest union in the private sector, representing 315,000 workers in every major area of the economy. The union advocates for all working people and their rights, fights for equality and social justice in Canada and abroad, and strives to create progressive change for a better future.
