TED, the nonprofit organisation devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, has launched its TEDWomen 2018 conference at La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, California, with a theme “Showing Up.” There will be 40 speakers and performers over three days who talks about a variety of topics related to the theme. The TED Talks will be broadcasted in real time to more than 200 simultaneous TEDxWomen events in more than 177 cities across 68 countries.

The following are among the speakers for the event: Pat Mitchell, Helen Walters, Kelly Stoetzel, Hank Willis Thomas, Deborah Willis, Jess Search and Manoush Zomorodi.

Pat Mitchell, TEDWomen Editorial Director, said: “At a moment when women around the world are no longer accepting the status quo, TEDWomen will celebrate the diverse and dynamic people showing up to face challenges head on. This event’s intersectional community is more united than ever by a shared belief that curiosity, mutual respect and intentional listening can move powerful ideas forward.”

A number of brands and organisations have joined hands with TEDWomen 2018 to share ideas and foster an atmosphere of community and learning, such as Archer School for Girls, Brightline Initiative, Boston Consulting Group, CORT Events, Dagne Dover, DuPont, Levi Strauss & Co., Morgan Stanley, Skoll Foundation, Steelcase, T-Mobile, UPS, US Air Force and Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.

At an age when new issues specific to women, but concerning the whole humanity, are coming to the fore, conferences like these are of vital significance.

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting PICANTE News and thank you reading my articles!

I have been writing articles and explaining reports in several industries for well over a decade or so. This is why I pride myself as one of the few survivors left in the world who have actually mastered the impossible art of copy editing. During my education phase I've graduated in Physics and obtained my Master’s degree in Communication and Journalism.

Although I usually focus on social and political news, I have some favorite topics that always make me happier. These topics include writing about sports events and travel writing.

During my career I've have written for numerous websites and my in-depth analytical articles have been highlighted in top sports magazines like Cricket Today and Sports Today. I report several social, education and wordwide community releated headlines from all around the globe.
