Company recognized for IT leadership and delivering innovative solutions for government
Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE® 500 science and technology leader, has been recognized by a consortium of publications including Washington Technology, FCW, GCN and Defense Systems for two Government Innovation awards, which honor the year’s most innovative public sector solutions and companies supporting transformative government information technology (IT) projects.
Industry Innovator Award
Leidos received a 2018 Industry Innovator Award for its broad contributions and leadership in driving innovation within the government market. Leidos made specific investments in 2018 including research & development projects in areas such as data science; enterprise IT modernization; health workflow solutions; cybersecurity; and advanced cloud solutions. Additionally, the company launched the Leidos Alliance Partner Network, which leverages its supplier base to drive innovation and enhance program performance for its customers.
The company was specifically recognized for its Leidos Enterprise Application Framework (LEAF) cloud solution, which is a set of reusable software libraries and agile software development frameworks it uses for customers.
Public Sector Innovation Award
The Leidos submission recognizing the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for a 2018 Public Sector Innovation Award was selected honoring the agency’s leadership deploying Leidos-developed artificial intelligence, analytics, and automation for its software-defined networking solutions. These solutions helped eliminate hardware, enhance speed, and reduce costs for DISA’s Defense Information System Network – the backbone for one of the most targeted and complex networks in the world. Leidos provides daily network operations and assurance to operate, maintain, and defend the network from threats.
