Crayon extends AI-powered business growth in South East Asia

 

Crayon Group, the Norway-based the global software experts, will establish an AI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Singapore to boost its business growth in South-East Asia (SEA).

The company serves clients in multiple industries, including retail, maritime, oil & gas, healthcare, agriculture and public institutions.

Crayon has cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers and AI advisors who will work with leading customers and institutions in the SEA region. Torgrim Takle, Crayon Group CEO commented: “Singapore is an ideal place for us to expand our AI business footprint as the local artificial intelligence community and ecosystem is both very advanced and dynamic and because the development is proactively backed by the local government.”

This announcement builds on the existing regional business acceleration that included the recent acquisition of Tribal Knowledge, a specialist strategic software and cloud economics consulting firm based in Singapore. Crayon have also expanded into Singapore, The Philippines and Sri Lanka as new Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and License Service Provider (LSP) status accreditations being awarded to them for the region by Microsoft.

Florent Bellahsene, VP, Crayon APAC commented: “Our strategy is to ensure our customers in South East Asia have full access to Crayon services and expertise to help them optimise their cloud technology and digital transformation. To facilitate this, we are executing on a coherent co-investment plan with Microsoft and our other hyper scale cloud partners to enhance technical and customer support capability within the region.”
