Fine Wine & Good Spirits to Welcome Former Football Players to Sign Bottles of World Champions Red Wine in Philadelphia

Mike Quick and Ike Reese to appear at S. Columbus Blvd. store on Aug. 8

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 6, 2018 – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board today announced that former pro football players Mike Quick and Ike Reese will sign bottles of Philadelphia Eagles World Champions Red wine at 6:30 PM Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection, 1940 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia.

Since its introduction in late June, Philadelphia Eagles World Champions Red wine (Code 75532; $49.99) has been a popular item in southeastern Pennsylvania Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. Each 750mL bottle is deep-etched and hand-painted by artisans, a labor-intensive process that requires skilled craftsmanship. The bottles commemorate the Eagles’ Feb. 4, 2018, 41-33 World Championship victory over the New England Patriots.

Inside each limited-edition bottle, the handcrafted Reserve is a blend of Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and Monterey Merlot. Aged for 15 months in a combination of French and American Oak, this Bordeaux-style blend shows soft tannins, ripe cassis, chocolate, and berry flavors. These flavors create a medium-bodied, dry red with a smooth finish.

Mike Quick was a gifted athlete from an early age, whether in high school, Fork Union Military Academy, North Carolina State, or with the Eagles. As the team’s first-round draft pick, Mike caught passes thrown by legendary Philadelphia quarterbacks Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham. A five-time Pro Bowler, Mike is a commentator for Philadelphia Eagles radio broadcasts on SportsRadio 94WIP.

Ike Reese was a standout linebacker at Michigan State who was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 1998 NFL draft. He played in 128 consecutive regular season games. After an illustrious 9-year career, he brings his knowledge and insight to radio as the co-host of 94WIP Marks & Reese Show in the afternoons.

Mike Quick and Ike Reese will only sign purchased bottles of Philadelphia Eagles World Champions Red; no other items will be autographed. Every person in line must have at least one bottle of Philadelphia Eagles World Champions Red. Attendees may not bring large bags, purses, or backpacks to the event.
