BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Symetra Life Insurance Company today announced the appointment of
Anne-Marie Diouf as senior vice president and chief human resources
officer, effective July 1, 2019. She will succeed Chris Katzmar Holmes,
currently senior vice president, human resources and administration, who
will be retiring from Symetra.

Under Ms. Diouf’s oversight, Symetra has successfully implemented
several best-in-class programs, including a new career framework,
continuous performance management and recognition, and inclusive health
benefits. She heads the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion
strategy and initiatives, and is a member of the Chief Operations
Office, an interdisciplinary group of senior leaders responsible for
enterprise-wide operational health, which includes differentiating
Symetra by creating an engaged employee experience. In her new role, Ms.
Diouf will also lead Symetra’s workplace services, business continuity
and corporate security departments, in addition to her human resources
responsibilities.
Ms. Diouf joined Symetra in 2000 as a human resources representative.
She was promoted to vice president in 2010. Prior to Symetra, Ms. Diouf
held HR roles in retail and manufacturing organizations. A Certified
Human Resources Professional, she received a bachelor’s degree in
sociology from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.
