WOODSTSOCK, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, South Gate Centre, a place for active adults 50+ in Oxford County, is excited to announce the launch of their monthly provincial online 50-50 lottery.
Funds raised will go towards South Gate’s upcoming building expansion and will also support programming to foster social engagement and wellness of mind, body and soul.
Tickets for the March 1 – March 31, 2023 lottery period are on sale now, with an ever-growing jackpot, with the winning ticket number drawn and announced on April 1. An Early Bird draw, sponsored by Dave MacKenzie, former MP Oxford, will provide an additional chance to win $500 on March 15.
Each chance to win big starts at southgate5050.com (tickets available online or at South Gate Centre). Ticket options include 10 tickets for $10, 100 tickets for $20, or 300 tickets for $40. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and in the province of Ontario to play.
Chris Cunningham, South Gate Centre’s Executive Director, says the 50/50 Lottery represents a new way for people to support the Centre, helping to fill the funding gap for their building expansion and for new programming initiatives.
“My father was part of the committee that started plans for the expansion of the Centre and I am committed to seeing his dream come to life. The community at South Gate Centre gave him so much happiness. It was like a second home to him,” said Dianne Reeves-Denby, member of the Fundraising Committee and the Board of Directors at South Gate Centre.
