MONTGOMERY, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Alabama Interactive, in partnership with the Alabama Secretary of State,
introduced new business filing and registration options last month to
their already expansive list of services available online. People can
now register their Trademark,
Service
Mark, Trade
Name or Foreign
Corporation online through the official Secretary of State website.
The Secretary of State has aimed to make registering a business in
Alabama as convenient and pain free as possible. Adding Foreign
Corporations to the list of available Foreign entities to be filed online
not only allows for more people to benefit from the online service but
also helps eliminate the paper traffic in office, which as a result
decreases the processing times for business filings. Foreign LLC
entities are already accepted in the online
filing system as a complete filing option. LLP, LP and LLLP entity
types can also process name reservations online.
In addition to expanding their online business filing options, the
Secretary of State has also published an online
platform to accept Trademark, Service Mark, and Trade Name
registrations. Both initial applications for registration and renewals
of existing Trademarks, Service Marks and Trade Names are accepted using
the same platform. Online
registrations and renewals
are electronically submitted for approval and once approved, receive
immediate confirmation for legal use.
