ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 31, 2018 – SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce that Thomas J. Kaess will be heading up the company’s Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) efforts. In this capacity, Tom will be leading the team that provides support to DoD and IC clientele, while working to expand SBG’s portfolio and business offerings.
As a Veteran with extensive military and industry experience, including expertise in program management, Tom has built highly effective teams while managing operations for the IC and U.S. Navy. Following graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, he served as a Surface Warfare Officer and the first Communications Officer for the USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG-81); he then served as a Meteorology and Oceanography Officer on active duty and later in the reserves. Tom has led numerous large value contracts and teams as a program manager for Navy and IC clients, including directing a portfolio worth more than $40M in annual revenue across the DoD and IC.
Tom holds an M.B.A. from the George Washington University and a B.S. in Physical Oceanography from the Naval Academy. He also holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL v3 certifications. He and his wife, Dawn, live in northern Virginia with their children, Owen and Megan.
